The 2 Mount Gambier cars arrived home this afternoon. 3006 miles ( 4839 k's). The last 12 month planning was thrown out the window with the floods (we were supposed to be heading to Yamba Tuesday after the nationals) but the Coffs Harbour policeman said "head south now, you probably have an hour to get out, as we anticipate Coffs will be locked down then . Threw everthing in the cars and headed out. As we went through Nambucca Heads, the road already was almost flooded. Our journey changed to Newcastle, M7, Bowral, Goulburn, Albury, Swan Hill, Renmark and then home. We have seen everything from Sun, floods, dust storms and everything in between. However both cars run beautifully, which we are greatful for. (It is going to take a few days to get them looking like they should)
To Tim and his nationals team, a big thank you for the event, which we enjoyed immensely, one thing we have no control over is the weather!.
Looking forward to catching up with all here in the "Blue Lake City" next year.
kindest regards
Roger, Lesley, Mike and Sue

Sounds like you nearly had an unintentional extension to your nats trip! Good to hear you got home with no problems though.

Shame you didn't make it into Yamba...you could have been flooded in for a week...now that would have been tough!
Glad you guys made it home safe and sound. Looking forward to the Blue Lake City Nats...

Yep Trev, we will be staying put and will have this city prepared for the fb/ek onslaught next June
Stewart we were going to "risk it " and go to Yamba except the road through Grafton was shut off overnight. Was very disappointed as Yamba is truly a favourite of ours after being there only once, the nationals. However we will return.
Thanks to Devilrod, Tim and Dave for your replies.
cheers
