got some new lenses for my rear overiders ' then i realised that someone has modified the wiring in the dark past to one wire only . does anyone have any idea where or how i could buy or make the required fittings
One black wire is standard.
Your new licence plate lights should have a fine brass ring
that earths out on the bumper to complete the circuit.
The black wire comes from the tail light circuit.
thanks for answering, so therefore i should have one black wire for each light or can i run the same wire to both lights. sorry ,the only thing i don't do on my cars is electrical . fortunatly my son does, i'll let him know, thanks.
You can have one wire for each light joined into the black wire that goes from one rear tail light to the other.
Or you could loop each license plate light with one join back onto the black tail light wire.
It sounds like to me that the wires you want are still in place, one black wire to each license plate light.
