Wheels for CSR front end

Post by WesternWagon »

Hey all

Any advise on diameter and or back space on wheels to use on CSR front end with HQ stubs and front mount rack

The standard HQ rims rub on the steering, CSR recon Chev Ralley rims are the go

I want to keep the diameter as small as possible

Cheers

Are they rubbing o the steering arms or the wishbones ? If its just the arms you can space them in to clear - another job the half arsed rod shop should have alreday done ................

Steering arms are the spacers legal? Will I need longer studs?
The CSR gear has required a lot of tweaking to fit! A bit disappointing really

Yes and yes , as long as you machine up a spacer , dont just whack a heap of washers on there ............

CRS gear has needed a lot of tweaking to fit since day one , which would be fine if they actually did something about making it right but for 20 years its been the same

No , dont space the wheel OUT , space the steering arms IN .

I've had to get my wheels (on the EK and FB) off-set changed to stop this problem.
I asked the wheel joint for a HR disc off-set and they knew exactly what I wanted :D .
