FB/EK Car Club of Victoria 1st Annual Picnic

Post by fb4me »

Hi everyone wanted to post some photos of the FB/Ek Car Club of Victoria 1st Annual picnic on Australia Day.
First of all would like to thank everyone for making the effort and making the day a success, we had upto 40 people show up.
We started off at the BP Service Station on the Calder hwy and made our way to Mt Franklin where we found a beautiful spot to park our cars (about 16 of them) what a sight!!! We then started with morning tea and and then the kids and big kids were off to play totem tennis, volleyball, bocce etc.... Before we new it it was time for lunch to get on the way as everyone had built up an appetite, thanks to Bill and Allan for helping out on the B.B.Q. And then the kids were eager to play some more Volleyball as the adults eventually joined in.As soon as word was out about visiting a chocolate mill for some reason the picnic packed up within 15 mins to my amazement. We all made our way to the chocolate mill where we enjoyed chocolate and refreshments, we parted ways and made our way home.
Once again it was a fantastic day had by all and cant wait for the next club run.

It was a great day. We certainly covered some miles and a big thanks to the FB EK club for putting it on.
All the cars cruising through the hills certainly looked cool, and getting the thumbs up from pissed guys in the back seats as they drive by was certainly worth it.
Cant wait to see what you have planned for next year. Well done guys.

What a great day !!! :D :D :D
Some really nice Aussie cars out on a beautiful celebration day, couldn't have been better.
Nick had his black EK out on it's first run, that car's as clean as a cats arse !!! Eddie and his son Mack, what a cool name,(Mack that is not Eddie) on their first club run, Joe, Irene and family, and the Dakams who traveled a fair way to be with us and everyone who showed up for a truly magnificent run. Hope i didn't forget anyone.
Thanks to Rob and Cheryl for organising the day, Darren, Cathy and Alan for the games and Paul who showed us how to really operate a BBQ.
Roll on next year !! :D

Now Dave, what's this i hear about a bit of a problem getting home???

No problem.
Just the indicator stalk snapped off as I pulled into our estate.
I'll pull it apart on the weekend and have a gander.

Actually...............

just had a look at her this arvo, there was a slight knocking sound when I started her up yesterday, there was no oil in the top end. Checked oil and HMMMMMMM, oil is low, and theres a decent oil leak coming from the timing cover, and also theres a hole in the radiator, that was also bloody low.
Probably should have checked it all when we got to Mt Franklin.....oops
Good fun...
