Re: &*#@ cars You owned & admit to!
I have an EB Falcon sedan which is on King superlow springs. The springs cost more than the car and it is awesome
In fact, I drive it more than the FB these days. Uncool I know

Probably karma for my choice of vehicles

Lovely cars Guys. I'm not such a brand snob. As look as it looks cool & goes well, I'm happy although as an EK sedan was my first car I have a romantic attraction to them. I'd love a 50 Single Spnner - If I could find a good rust free one.

XP sedan, run off the road, smashed and now sitting sadly in the garage waiting for a chance to offer its parts to a future build.
I could care less about badges. Quite simply, I like design (cars and beyond) from early to late-mid century. Be like saying I only dig the colour purple if I restricted myself to one manufacturer...and that just ain't gonna happen.

Re: &*#@ cars You owned & admit to!
Ive had a couple of Fords and hated them all. My first one was a XE Falcon S Pac wagon on straight gas. Its was always breaking down so I got rid of it.
Then I bought a Stock matching numbers 33 &*#@ sedan that had been sitting in a shed for 30 years at Annangrove. I paid $5000 for it and had it driving that afternoon. I did a full resto on it. It was fine as long as it wasnt a hot day or in traffic.
I got over it pretty quick and sold it.
A couple of years ago I bought an EL falcon wagon on duel fuel. In that time I have replaced two engines and gearboxes. Three radiators. 2 Alternators , steering rack and a powersteering pump.
Two weeks ago I drove to Nerranderra towing one of my boats when the front wheel bearing collapsed just before Golbourn.
Amazingly the spare wheel bearings I carry for the trailer fitted the front hub so I was only stuck on the side of the road for about an hour.
My three year old daughter has been indoctrinated to always add the word Junk after first saying &*#@.
Last week I sold my fathers XH Falcon Panel van. He too has a list a mile long of what went wrong with it.
Tommorrow someone is coming over hopefully to buy my wagon. Its actually a pretty good car now but Im totally over it.
I will never own a &*#@ again. &*#@ Junk &*#@ Junk &*#@ Junk

Re: &*#@ cars You owned & admit to!
When I lived in North Carolina, I owned this 2001 &*#@ Mustang. It was a brilliant car and only a couple of minor things went wrong. The oxygen sensor needed replacing after a drive to Washington, D.C. The driver's door window needed fixing.
Sold it to a young kid from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who wanted a black manual Mustang as his first car. Part of me wishes that I brought it back to Australia, as I owned it long enough for me to bring it in as a personal belonging, not as importing a car. But I thought the AUD$24,000 to get it converted to RHD and ADR complied was too much. Still, it would have made for an awesome daily. I guess I just have to settle for the memories of cruising along Interstate 40 on my way to Wrightsville Beach, Metallica in the CD player, and on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Appalachian Mountains on the North Carolina - Tennesse boarder (just beautiful there)...

Here's a shot of it as Kure Beach, North Carolina.
