Hewey and Liana's EK ute

Okay first of all a massive thanks to Damo (Dmullaly) for selling me the ute. I've basically been bugging him since he casually mentioned he 'might' be considering selling it    He was pretty reluctant to let it go, in fact if you look at the rear quarters you can see the scratches where he was trying to hold onto it as I was driving off    But yeh, very stoked with it and a big thanks to Damo for letting it go. Before Damo owned it was owned by Stanley - so 3rd generation forum owner

Its basically a low but otherwise stock EK ute. I can tell you haven't really driven anything old for a few years, hell not even driving a manual, it was um... interesting driving across the guts of Sydney this morning  Drum brakes, a crash box and Sydney traffic dont go together real well. God I was thankful to hit the M4 and ditch the traffic  Best part was coming back through Penrith and a guy in a stunning 34 coupe giving me the thumbs up - man Ive missed having an old car!

Of course once I was home and had grabbed some lunch I had to go for a drive and get some pics. Did a bunch more cruising and got more pics and only headed home cause I was heading out tonight.

Just a solid (but a little rough around the edges) cruiser we can chuck the bikes in and head to the beach or to CRAKK, or head into Harrys or drive interstate. Got a long list of little things I want to sort out, like with any old car  Came with a visor so I'll chuck that back on, take the towball off for now and chuck the bumperettes back on, paint the steelies with some colour (copper or yellow/cream not sure yet), maybe some removable timber rails on the tray side tops, and maybe some signage for the blog on the doors.

Man its good to be driving a column shift again! Takes me back to driving my first car (Torana)

Looks sweet as Hewey
It's funny jumping in an old girl after not driving one for a while.
But you soon get used to it. With drums all round in Sydney you gotta anticipate a long way ahead ALL the time.

Not the stinkin' Pontiac, fixed the starter today but it has rooted the drive plate. Motor out!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the loaner Harley, most reliable thing here at the moment.

Sorry for the deviation, back to Hewey & the ute.
