Wheels

Post by EK61_STU »

G'day, please forgive me for sounding silly but will these wheels fit an EK running drums? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... L:RTQ:AU:1.

I am still on the hunt for some 14 inch chromies (or 15" if they come along) and when I stumbled onto these I thought they might fit, but being 8" wide I figure they would scrape. What exactly is the widest rim you can put on? I have thought about getting them made up (but that is a relatively expensive way of doing it), what is the biggest offset you can have?

Cheers

Stu

PS I know you have answered some of these questions before Robbo but in my infinite wisdom I deleted your replies.....

Try contacting Ajax wheels in Cheltenham, Vic. They used to sell chromies to suit early holdens (14"s in varing widths). I don't know their number but they can probably tell you where in Sydney to go or ship some to you. I don't think you could get bigger than 7's on the rear....
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Thanks DR I rang Ajax and they can do 'em for $175 a wheel, then I would have to post/courier them to Sydney so it is a rather expensive way of doing it. But having said that at least I get brand spanking new rims. One thing the guy I spoke to pointed out was you can't put the normal 13 inch hubcap on them though, shame that, so would have to sorce hubcaps too. And then the list goes on....more money!!!!!
