G'day new here bought a ek ute about a month ago or so shes in not too bad nick the owner bought it when he was 18 and it was only 2 yrs old at the time and the first owner lived next door to me and still does

cheers guys plans not 100% sure as yet thinking about getting it road worthy and getting it rego'ed for a bit have a bit of fun , got the clutch done and the brakes half done just doing the rear wheel bearings now thinking about taking the diff out and doing it all proper. motor runs perfect, eventually i want to have it fully resprayed not sure what colour if i go original or not

Are you going to change the diff ratio? It's a wise move if it's going to be a daily driver,,makes it rev a whole lot less on the motorways. My sedan runs a 3.36 but I also has a 3.55 in my wagon and it was quite good too. Plus there's always the advantage of getting rid of those #@!%^* 'mantle clock' uni caps as well !

my axle slide hammer works a treat, one axle was easy the other was hell hard to get off so i made this up

If that doesnt work its time for a new diff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

after looking over the forum i got keen again , i did the rear wheel bearings and brakes a few months ago now and decided id do the front brakes today just waiting for the brake shop to open, very keen on one of those bolt on front ends in the for sale section they look the goods
