Found somebody who recondition Damper/ Drive Plates

Automatic Repairer - You may be interested

Your members may be interested in a few jobs that I do for the old car movement. Although some of your members did not have this early automatic transmission some of your members may have the models that did. Since 1964 I have been reconditioning parts for old cars, I have a small machine shop which specialsies in resleeving, building up, welding, alloy as well as Mig welding etc. Of particular interest would be the Damper and Torus that I recondition for the Holden Hydramatic. I have been reconditioning these since 1964 and have done literally tens of thousands of these over the years, with the damper, I replace the inner splined hub with a hardened steel splined hub rivetted into place, replace the friction pads internally, replace the springs, build up any badly worn sections and then spot weld back together. With the mating torus I also replace the worn spline that matches into the same damper plate. I also repair some manual transmission parts as well.
Powerglides as well, have their stator shafts resplined. I can also build up the worn teeth on ring gears and recut them back to the original profile, This is another job I have been doing for many years and have repaired all types of gears from Rolls Royce to underground mining pull locomotives. Unfortunately it is getting harder and harder to find machine shops that specialise in the repair of components and it would be appreciated if you could bring our capabilities to your members attention.
For thirty five years our firm in Parramatta concentrated on repairing automatic transmission components but now that I have semi retired I continue to repair some of the jobs we did for the motor trade for so long, however, now at my workshop in the Blue Mountains. It would be appreciated if you could alert your members to my services for the benefit to all.
I also have old steel advertising signs for sale advertising Holdens they are 600mm x 400mm.
I can be contacted on 02 47544634 or 0411391677 or via email
gpendlebury@pnc.com.au.

Many Thanks,
Gordon Pendlebury

Thanks for that barn find EK - Stewart , can we make this a sticky in the trades and services directory ???
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
