Hey fellas!
Am wondering if anyone out there may recall what this hose is from? Its fitted to my EK, top hose, but obviously over its life the rad has been changed or new top tank put on as this hose is different to an original ek hose. Been to rares with it, they wernt much help but i had a look through the book and it dont look anything like other holden ones! Radiator seems to be on original mounts. I searched through boxes and boxes at rares and only one i could find close was a valiant one however this was of larger diameter!
Only other real option is that flexi hose stuff but yeah wanting to try keep it period style!
Take it to supa crap autos and see if it matches any in there racks... the right down the code number or look through the book until you find a make and model of a car that matches.
cheers

is yor car an auto ? cause that's what it looks like to me an auto radiator, definately not a HR radiator as they are much wider and wound not bolt up as original you may need to find an old spares shop with car guys in it not a bunch of nerds or school kids who know about cars prior to commodore

Hey RB,
Yeah the ek is a hydramatic.. So you think its an auto radiator? wanna have a guess what out of?
SunnyTim wrote:what a bunch of wankers at rares, as said it is an EK auto hose. It's the same (almost) as an EJ top hose so just ask the idiots for that one
Thanks sunnytim!! Yeah mate they wernt much of a help, didnt really wanna know about it! maybe cause its only 15 bucks for them! Sometimes there alright but sometimes they dont care at all!
i got a EJ auto hose after looking throught the parts books at a local store its close but not the same
the radiator hose kinks up when fitted the housing neck is at a different angle than a EK auto
so im going to replace the EK housing with a EJ one that should fix it

Yeah Dave i sourced a EJ one aswell, put it on and there was a slight kink, with a bit of a trim i got it to sit quite nicely so should be all good now!
Whens your car going to be ready? Have to go out for a cruise sometime!
