My new acquisition, an FB sedan!!

Post by hz308prem »

Hi all,

After not owning a FB/EK since 1989, I thought it was time to get another!! I have just won on Ebay a white over black FB sedan, should be a good restorer (I hope). Here's a pic of it.

I look forward to being an active member on this forum now!!

Good buy Peter especially considering some of the Nasco accessories that were on it (door handle paint protector plates are worth a bit).I was watching it on Evilbay, not to bid but, ....too far to travel for me to add to my FB/EK retirement home.I like EK's (have 5 of 'em) but FB's are my preference(have 3 of 'em).I like the "just pulled out of the 20 year shed storage look" and the white over black aged original looking paint.
Glad to see a forum member purchasing it and look forward to progress updates on the rebuild.

Terry.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Cool Peter!

We look forward to seeing it's progress and expect you to lavish the forums with every step you take. :D

FB's are way cooler than those modern fangdangled EK's (ROFL)

If you get to chasing parts let me know I might be able to help.
I would like to know the paint codes on this car as FB's normally don't have a alternate colour roof.

Looks to have "H" medallions on the rear quarters.

Thanks for the comments guys, you got it Smooth they are the hubcap 'H' medalians on the rear quarters, I studied that for a while before working it out!

Almost anything is save able, just depends on how much of a masochist you are

It looks to be a good starting point.

Attention Smooth!!

Hi Smooth,

I was just looking at your website and on the FB Holden page there's a photo of FBs at a Holden plant, and in the foreground is an FB white over red that has the same paint layout as mine (ie the roof only is white). Has this photo been 'colour added', if not that shows that the colour arrangement on mine might be factory??

Cheers

Peter
