Hi .
Fooled around a bit at work today taking a FJ grill and fitting it into an FB. Dont know it it would fit, it might even have been done by some one else already.
Then I took the rear roof section from a Henry J and fitted it to an FJ sedan. Lengthened doors and had to extend wheelbase a few inches too, before things started to look reasonable. Rear guards are also extended a bit to get proportions right.
Just a bit of fun on the Apple Mac.

Spose a forties sloper would work as well, But why cut up a sloper to make an FJ fastback???

We went out to a friends farm last weekend on a club run. He has a few model T's , A's ans others. Down in the bush below he has a few wrecks. I took a walk down and as I walked to the back of this Vauxhall, the angle of the curved glass caught my attention. So I took pics and when I had a chance I put this pace together as a comparisson. Although the glass doesn't appear to have quiet as much of a curve on it as I remember on an FB wagon, the side view is pretty darn good.
It could be a neat idea to use a set of this glass on a FB Nomad custom conversion.

Man I like your thinking Alistair! Now that Vauxhall isnt really going to be a car available anywhere in Oz - however there is a very real chance one may be found in NZ - more specifically Horopito Wreckers- or Smash Palace as its widely known. It's the largest surviving wrecking yard in the southern Hemisphere. In short if these weird Vauxhalls were sold in NZ- there maybe a chance this yard would have one... they have the largest collection of oddball stuff I have ever seen!
Hmm may have to look further into that one!
Its a vast improvement to an otherwise stodgy design - apologies of course to FB/EK Wagon owners...
