The colour is "ory-ginal" but the "Minister for War and Finance" don't like the "Baby Blue"............... so it looks like someone (yours truly) has to do the door shuts and dash aswell to keep the peace.........           must be something to do with Venus and Mars.... :P :P :P

No prob glad to be of some help occasionaly   , you've got the same setup as in mine brake wise too! Much better than drums for every day use. I found drums needed adjusting once a month if used daily.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Agreed. If an EK is going to be used as a daily, then a HR disc front end makes sense.

Phhheeeewwwwwww................. glad I got away with the disc brake front end! It will be a daily driver and I love Sue so it would be reassuring to know that the EK will stop and keep her safe (because she drives like s@#t).

Anyway, need HONEST FEEDBACK on the following (keep in mind that it is on jack stands and will have a ride height with the tyre just inside the guard), found these babies (13x7) but have not bought them (yet), trying to stay away from the "newer" styles, also want to drop the old girl lowwww ..... god knows why I would want to keep it olschool, do you know how hard it is to find old wide rims that fit under the guards!    ................ I actually found a set of 13x7 and 13x8 American racing rims but I can't get the EK as low as we want because the offset is to much..

to be totally honest i think the hotwires dont suit the 60s holdens that well they look great on toranas, they sort of look dull on the car even when polished up they are very much a race track style wheel to me! just my opinion, i think something a bit more shiny but still old school would complement the car better. but at the end of the day its totally up to you. :D

That's ok HPaddict..... if I wasn't in 2 minds then I would ask for opinions, your opinion is taken onboard and appretiated (with no offence taken) ...... I'm struggling to find something suitable that's not new

Garry,
Have to agree with HP addict, the hotwires get lost with the big bulky hieght of the body. 5 spoke wheels seem to look allright or the oldschool chromies. I had a set of kidney mags on my car many years ago that looked ok but I pumped the guards a little to fit them ARGHHHHH ! wish I hadn't done that.

I get the occasional nag about power steering from the boss, when she's out on a credit card run  and that's 175s on 5.5inch rims. Maybe get Sue to try a few shopping park maneuvers with the 7s

good i was hoping not to offend, wheels are a personal taste thing i guess, i have the same drama with my missus EH i cant seem to find anything that looks better than 5 spoke dragways that still looks old school. everything else seems to look bland or too new style,

i tried my weld rims on it and it just dont look right with the stock type colour, and looses the look im after with that car. maybe some dragway indies, or 5 spoke dragways. or 15inch chromies for something different.

sorry dude thats all i can think of, its a hard one !

Hey Gaz, sorry dude but I agree with the others. I think they more suit a Torrie than EK.
What about 14's with an aftermarket hubcap?? It will fill out the guard out more and will look cool when dropped on its guts, like RBs last beast.
Just my 2cents,

Dave.
I'd rather drive something made of metal, not plastic!
