Ah mate perfect pics , might add this to the list for later on down the track, I wonder if you could trim it a few mm higher and seat the panel on the top edge of chassis so its flat all the way down.

A lot of people seem to cut and shut the whole tub inner wall across, which is quite a bit more work. Seems to me your method be just as effective. As you say the gain is not great, although I've noticed that any rubbing tends to occur above the lip with body roll. Increasing clearance slightly beyond the rail could have some extra benefit.

Got a bit more done tonight, fuel tank all dressed and ready to fit , using a VE fuel pump, is a closed loop setup so no return line and you can buy them anywhere

Quarter is trimmed up and ready to weld on , going to take it down and get it blasted in the morning

Front end is in , time to figure out what brakes are going to fit- got 3 options at this point - hj-z , Landcruiser or VT Commondoor
Current preferred option is what's on the car now - drop spindles, P76 rotors and HJ-Z calipers , provided it all fits

Great work ,pics and info. I think some of the drop spindles can take all kingswood and HR , some go front of the spindle some on the rear.

I'm not painting it - I don't even wash it The quarter will get a lick of paint on it - I am still fighting the urge to just weld it on then paint straight over the welds ..... but it needs to go through engineering eventually so it will most likely be bogged over and tidied up then painted
