Been busy doing the wiring, decided to make my own harness, as there wasn't that much I could use on the ek harness anyway, will post photos soon.
I was talking to Pat Gardner (V6 conversions) about some wiring and he said his new independent rear end should be for sale soon, this is one thing I've been waiting for (for 10 years) He's a photo of it looks good

did the wiring on the inside (didn't realise just how much wire one needs)
Image
a lot of wires. now all the electrics work
Image
ended up using 2 fuse boxes ,this one for the main and a smaller one for the lights
Image
had no other place to put the horns
Image
Image
had to clean up the body numbers so one could see them so I put clear over them
Image
I couldn't come to putting holes in the bonnet
Image
using two different size stainless steel pipes to make it work right
Image
the motor that came with the bottle wasn't powerful enough so I put a commodore one on and it works great should finish it on the weekend
Image
decided to raze the petrel tank up for the muffler
Image
I put a new neck on it and decided to check for any holes so I blocked all the hoses and filled it with air and started wielding the holes by the fourth time I filled it with air it blow up like a balloon stuffed
Image
so I'm back at the start with a new tank from the wreakers and a new neck will finish that this week end
Image
bled the brakes so there working fine i'll do the battery (in the boot next week) should have it started in 2 weeks if all goes as planned

put the warning switch in on the weekend as I seen it done on the forum and it's out of the way
Image
I just need to know the wiring code now it's out of a vs
Image
finished off the wiper spray tubes today they work great and you don't see them
Image
did the battery stand a bit of overkill on the steel
Image
it's in out of the way should get the battery cable this week and get that in next weekend
Image
should start it soon

Howards in Vic can...

Jesus christ thats a lot of wiring. Manually making your own harness is impressive, would it have been easier on you to use the Pat Gardner conversion one?

Michael, I'm rewiring my FB. I'm wondering where you're mounting the fuse box (or boxes, in your case)?

Cheers,
Aaron.

hi Aaron
I'm putting the large box up against the fire wall just to the drivers side below the wipe mechanism the small one is right side of the drivers side its only a small one and at the moment it's just floating on top of the other wires
hope that helps

I used the same type of shackle on my hand brake cable but I had some flat bar welded to the ends instead of the clips you used.
