AFAIK you are not allowed wheel spacers for rego. stick on a crap set of legal tread wheels and use spacers after....Make sure they are steel and NOT aluminium

Air con is finally in with no room to spare
Image
and no ash tray as will. Just the lid and i had to do the same with the old heater controls too
Image
cut some holes to put the heater hoses through to keep them away from air hoses and everything else as they do get hot' I double plated both sides to keep the strength in it (sending photos to my engineer to see if he's happy with it)
Image
the bulkheads make it easy and the Air o crimp system is so easy
Image
put the wheel on to have a look
Image
now to finish off the inside wiring etc
Image
Image
Image
found the wheels i want
Image
spoke to Australian Classic Wire Wheels about the LA Custom wheels and i can get the two different offsets that i need (i can get rear 17'' x8'' with 40P & front 17''x7''with 26P) he's just seeing if i can get them with gold wire spokes
Image
has anyone hear about these L A Custom wire wheels (good or bad ) I'd like to know before i order them

Looking good mate, I had LA wires on my '64 Chev, I was a bit worried about them when I first fitted them , used to check them every time I drove it as I was paranoid about them coming loose and falling off with the knockoff setup but they stayed tight - never had one come loose and I did thousands of miles in that car.

Had hoped to do the headlight wiring and air con pluming so i could put the guards back on, but the wire i ordered (25amp) didn't come. so i started doing the air con pipes, started off fine at one end.
Image
other end started out alright
Image
then it didn't quite fit right
Image
two cups of tea later,a total re do of the heater hoses and it came out better then planned
Image
a couple of new holes and cut the square bulkhead in half, and just have two holes to fill in
Image
all well away from the wheel (that's an 8" wheel ) when finished the front wheel will be a 7"
Image
all the work that will never be seen
Image
and the VX heater hoses fit great ( just shorter)
Image
now i need to know is the top hose (coming from the engine) the one the water comes out of

I was thinking the same FeeBee
these are the rims I'm thinking of getting 17''x7'' front and 17''x8'' on the back (but from LA Custom)

I wouldn't get them, they rust in the spokes and are a absolute bugger to clean.

I had a set of 100 spokes on my '64 Chev, they were on there for 3 years and 12000 miles - I think I cleaned them once and they looked great when I sold the car  It had 4 wheel drums so that might have something to do with them staying clean.
