OK!
Got my Eh wheel in the post...in beautiful nick too...
Spline is the same...wheel sits maybe 20mm or so closer to the driver, but fits well....will have to work out the wiring for the horn soon, and make a ring that covers the 'empty' section between the column and the wheel. (shown in red)
Love the way the EH wheel looks...this one will get painted same colour as the exterior (lavender metallic/pearl) and I'll decide to run the bullet or the original horn button.
Cheers
MAIKI

Some slight rubbing between the Eh wheel and the Column I can't see externally, so the wheel comes off again this weekend so I can trace the 'rubbing', I think with a small spacer the problem will be solved....

G day Mate, Your dash looks really cool. Could you tell me how you went about removing the dash knobs and also what lenses are on your indicator dash lights?
thanks, and love your ride

I replaced the knobs about 12 years ago....pretty sure i just hacked off the old ones (broke them up) and removed them all to paint the dash then, put them back on and installed the teardrop knobs...
...lenses for the indicators are the light bullets from mooneyes. Just remove the lense section from the crome bullets and the they slide right in...
..about to refit the entire dash lighting with 10mm White LEDS that are set-up for 12V...will post when i get that done.

Good stuuff Maiki keep moving forward.
Austmod, the hardest one to get off is the choke from memory and all the others have a grub screw. Easy....

hey ausmod,
i was at this stage last week.... their not an easy item to move...
hence the breakage...
eventually we got them off but they arent easy... as each one, the choke, wipers, lights are all removed differently... who ever thought of this deserves a kick in tha kags...
good luck... & be patient

I noticed there was some rubbing within the column after putting on the Eh wheel. Took it off and noticed that the EH wheel has two metal 'poles' that protrude behind the wheel. These were rubbing on the contacts behind. I've cut them off now so no more rubbing but I think the 'cancelling' mechanism for the indicators is stuffed now....will post pics.
Still love the way the wheel looks....
