No, go the zinc anneal , galv is a bugger to weld and a bugger to get paint to stick to , just go to your local sheety shop and get an off cut the size you need .

No worries, thanks Rusty- I have a sheet of 1.5mm Zinc ordered, about 75 bucks

Gal is a bit of a bugger to weld and gives off fumes that will make you crook - better off with zinc anneal.
