Thanks gents. Mechanically it is tidy, but body is really rough actually. It's no show car that's for sure.
Really happy with the hydraulic clutch bearing set up for those contemplating it. It is very pricey in comparison to standard setup but a good unit. Instructions said 3/4" master cylinder but pedal was hard work. Swapped over to 5/8" and pedal is easy and with good feel.
By the way, because of the breakaway mounts for the Torrie column I could not refit the original heavy helper spring after removing the cable clutch set up, so currently it is working perfectly with no return spring at all. Same with brake pedal.
Many thanks to Harv for supplying another pedal box to scavange from. For those interested, for the Celica W50 conversion, I used the M20 pressure plate, Celica/Holden modified clutch plate, Dellow bellhousing and Mal Wood throwout bearing, F0rd 5/8" clutch master cylinder and EK clutch pedal.
As you can probably tell, I am really enjoying my Celica 5 speed setup. It's perfectly suited to the car. Modern Holden 5 or 6 speeds may be even better- I dont know. M20 is a tractor box by comparison.
The only bug left to overcome is the steering....
