Leaving: Adelaide ,Thurs 7th June 2007,10amish

To:Forbes,N.S.W. -approx 1,000kms>Adelaide
Join the convoy of FB/EKs in the 12hr or so roadtrip
with proposed pit stops etc, and a nights accomadation-to break up the journey(Hay or nearby)
*Strongest bladder- determines the p#ss stops*

its not to late to enter(just a 10$ late fee)
but there is limited accomadation
so be quick!

yea sounds good mate,we're keen
it would be good to hit Forbes between 6-7pm
if we leave at 4am
6pm makes 14hrs
12hr drive +2hrs for rest,fuel stops etc
if we aim for 6pm
we should be set for 6.30-7
what do you think???

P.S. thanx for the lead on those b/bar bolts mate
-scored em for a bit over 7 bucks each

5 weeks to go Thommo

its gonna be a busy 5 weeks for me
puttin in a new clutch & lightened flywheel and shifter

also in the process of getting some 14in rims & whitewalls

wheel bearings all round
gauges,scuffplates,overriders
and a few other bits and pieces

Hows yours lookin?
anything to do between now & then?

I haven't got any thing I have to do,
But if the tyres turn up for the 14" chromies
I'll probably fit those for better fuel milage.
Just got to check the fliuds and give things the once over.

Hi there

It was good to meet some of you on Saturday night I had a bloody good time. I was wondering if anybody is leaving to go to Forbes on the Friday night. I have asked my boss, and I can't get the time off

but I am really keen to go still (I know it's getting late but I always leave stuff till the very last minute). My missus isn't that keen to go and I don't want to make the trip by myself so I thought if I could tag along with some one that would be perfect. Or if some one wanted to tag along with me that could be an option as well, I would be able to leave at about 6pm.

Does anyone know if there are service stations open at this time of the morning? I have gas and petrol but if I have to do most of it on petrol it will be a very expensive trip. Also the prospect of arriving in Forbes at 6/7 am with no sleep isn't sounding too atractive. Especially as I will want to get straight into it when I get there. It is probably dangerous to pull a all nighter while driving across our beautiful country as well. If anyone has any ideas please let me know

I could always try hitching my way there

while we are on the topic does anyone stop for these blokes ?? If i'm in the city I wouldn't, but in the country I reckon it's o.k, It's a shame the missus won't let me stop for them she thinks i'm mad and all they want to do is kill people. She has watched way too many horror films

FB WANNABE THERE ARE 24HR SERVO'S IN MILDURA JUST OVER THE BORDER AND ALSO BALRANALD ASWELL AS HAY (GO TO THE CALTEX AT HAY NOT THE MOBIL THE MOBIL HAS SHIT FUEL) AND THERE ARE 24HR FUEL AT WEST WYALONG ASWELL THAT SHOULD SEE YOU THERE..CHEERS MARK..I FEEL LIKE GOING TO S.A JUST FOR THE ROAD TRIP HEHE

We have had a slight change of plans for the S.A. Road Trip.
Leaving on thursday morning, to make it a more relaxing trip.
Staying overnight at Balranald or Hay.
Whats your plans Igor, can we catch up?
