Helenor
Well it has been a while since my last post.
Decided to finally get my finger out and work on the old girl again, got a couple of mates around to help and spent most of the day making log headers as per Gary (V8EK4US). Thanks Gary.
here are a few progress pics.

Fit the boot rubber

No exhaust shops open so had to get these from truck supplies

work space

cut off old extractors

not the best view

Like basic.green's FB, there's something about this car which makes you just want to keep looking at it... probably the excellent choice of colours, styling and finish...

Really good that you have gone to the trouble of making your own headers which avoids the cutting of holes in the skirts (I really don't like the look of that with V8 modifieds)....
Great work SC00BB!
...must fight urge to build 5L FB...
P.S. With regards to electroplating, the best guy I know is Shane at Electroplating Technologies in Queanbeyan. He does it the old way (repairs the piece properly first, the plates it in copper, then nickel, then chrome - none of this chrome straight on top of the steel business) and if you find any blemishes, there are no problems taking it back. And his workshop is hospital clean - not a skerrick of dust anywhere...

Great progress SC00BB! It's good to see you use the log header idea, it looks like it should be there not like the CRS headers that you have to hack the inner guard out for. Performance from the Log header is actually better than the CRS style as it flows much easier, nice job on them they look great, are you going to have them Jethot coated? The coating looks good but also helps reduce the engine bay temperature. How did you go with the handbrake cable clearance on the header? I relocated the hole on the firewall up 20mm and relocated the pulley in the engine bay to give more clearance (you may not need to do this with the Holden V8).
Love the guages, can I ask how much?...would be nice in Sue's EK. Did they supply the speed sensor for the speedo and is it programable like the Autometer speedo? ... if not you can get them from Summit Racing and the exchange rate is great at the mo'.
The wheels set the FB off nicely, I like the moon caps but not a fan of the Saturn moons, the Simmons still keep with the ol' skool look, nice choice.
Keep up the great work!
