beautiful find mate, looks like a really nice old girl.
is it just the photos, or is there plastic on the seats? i've noticed it on a few of the more original cars and was just wondering what it is and how durable it is. might be a good idea to put it over my upholstery if i can find out where to get it from.

That's plastic.
Not sure how long it's been there, but I'm guessing quite a while.
I've never seen them for sale but have seen other fb/ek's with them on
