chopped ute

internet spotto, don't remember where i found the pic

anyone know anything about this ute? all i know is it looks mean.
love the stance too, hoping mine will end up like that (except a sedan minus the roof chop...for now

)

nah not jonny Z's, think it was done by a guy called Dr chop he also did the FX/FJ beside it and quite a few others

I must say here that (personal view only) I think it's too chopped!.."CHOPPED's" ute looks much better

..this one above looks like it's been in a car crusher!

Anything lower than 2 1/2" of starts to loose the right shape and dangles on the edge of ridiculous!

Just look at the chops on this site..Mez's, CHOPPED, Ratbox's old 2 door, Thommo's van & Harko's just to name a few...all are done nicely and are still usable everyday drivers...but this ute MUST be a right pain in the head getting in & out!
Sorry for the rant..it's unlike me to comment on personal taste...

its a mean looking ute but if i was to build something like that i wouldnt chop it that far-it'd be too hard to see, get in and out, and i wouldnt be able to rest my arm on the window sill like i normally do.
2-3 inches would be enough for me i think

i think the SM fearure was a couple of owners down the track, i'm with you on to chopped, having said that i'de still own it

but from memory it was done to be on the rediculous side, pretty sure the guy that did it could put his name to quite a few chopped early holden utes and a few of them were FB/EK's

hopefully the owner rubbishes you then we'll know where the ute is

The ute was built by DR Chop and Co . but was owned by a guy by name of Gavin Poulish. who had built a chopped HR sedan previous to the ute

i saw this ute years ago in the street machine mag and my first views of it was that it was a little too chopped for me mine has a 4 inch chopp but i did make a new hand formed roof with a little more curve in it just to make the shape flow more

Poulish's old car was a HD with HR front sheetmetal.SM cover car in 81 or 82.

I love the ute.I believe it was pranged at the summernats in about 91 or 92 while cruising on Northbourne

theres never enough room mate looks like we are building a new workshop next year about 500 square metres so will be gutting my old shop and making it souley for all my toys

not a great financial move as i could get good rent for it but somethings are more important than money
