2 speed wipers

HI This is my first post so hope i get it right ; Im having trouble with the my EK project; 2 speed wipers is my problem how do i acheive this any info would be apreciated I need this for engineers report as i have changed motor to 186 auto and a early model comodore diff; HR front end with commodore disks . I will post some pictures of car soon as i work it out l. EK JAY

Hi,

I've just finished this battle. I fitted a 2 speed wiper motor out of a HG holden. Now that I've finished I can say it was very easy.

I removed the base plate off the HG wiper motor and made a smaller version, I then used the VN wiper motor arm connecting rod and pivot assembly. Both these had to be modified to suit. Really it was a fair bit of mucking around but still a lot cheaper than that of Rod Hadfields version. I also used the HG wiper switch also.

I will post some pictures tomorrow to show you how I achieved this outcome.

Hi again,

I got energetic and went out to the shed and snapped off a couple of shots of the wipers. I think the CSR conversion was about $260.00 mark.
If you go back a page or so in this section, I posted a question on 2 speed wipers also. In there you will also find some very usefull info.

Argh Malcolm.

You just reminded of what an absolute bastard it was to get my linkage mechanism sorted with the Subaru Wiper motor, for the wipers to be in phase and return to park.
