EK Panelvan tailgate lock

I don't have a key for the tailgate lock on my EK panel van- how hard is it to get one cut (I've ben told it might be tricky to get the barrel out for the locksmith)??

We took our complete tailgate handle (no need to take the entire tailgate!) to a locksmith.

They removed the barrel, cut a key to fit the lock then popped the barrel back in.

Last time i took a P/van lock ( with no keys) to a locksmith to get them to sort out the barrel and cut 2 keys it cost me $30.. that was about 4 or 5 years ago..

When i bought the van i have now there was no ign key. just one for the left door and tailgate. This meant i couldnt put the ign on lock .

Just bought a brand new FB/EK ign switch with 2 keys for $20..
