EK Wagon For Sale Rockingham.

Post by Brodie »

If anyone has seen the EK Wagon for sale in the Quokka for 12k in Rockingham and is interested, forget it.

Waste of time, not even worth half the money.

Supposed to be bare metal respray, etc etc.

The punch line is... its a car yard.

Brodie.

Notice the dealer plates....I think it might be an interstate buy that is having some licencing problems..... I know OLDSKULE had to jump through a few hoops when his car got here because it seems what is safe and roadworthy in the east crosses the nullabor it becomes a hoons death trap.

Sorry for the rant....it just sh*ts me that cars engineered too a high standard become Illegal because the licencing department don't know anything about basic mechanical engineering.

Jay, yeah saw that one. looks nice but if im gonna spend that much money id prefer something with a HR front end/red motor and so on.

the reason i was lookin at that one was cos it just sounded too good, (once again .. car yards  ) it was "supposed" to have just had a full bare metal respray, new this, new that, new everything. but after drivin all the way down there, realised it was less than average. it'd had a quick blow-over so they could get rid of it, there was bog/rust poppin out under the "new" paint. down the side of the car was about as straight as elton john, replacement floorpans werent in properly, could barely shut the doors ra-ra-ra. ohh yeah and it was supposed to be his sisters car, yet ya ask him a pretty basic question about it and its.. ahh, uhmm, uhh, dunno.

Yeah ive seen that one too Gordon. looks awesome. mate, i wish i had that much coin...

Hysteria ive never had one brought over but hey, i know where your comin from.

thanks chopped but its a bit outa my price range lol. probably a waste of time although if ya do bump into him, could ya find out his bottom dollar for us? cheers.

A CRS front end IS a HR front end and if you cant tell if that is a RED motor ..............well it is  , looks pretty good to me, Trev 8) .

Brodie, from what I've seen a good unmolested original FB/EK can command better money than one that's had the usual red motor/HR front end thing done to it and has a lot of unoriginal parts like bucket seats, mags,etc.....

Though having said that, some blokes are in dreamland when it comes to the money they are asking for their cars 8)

hey Cal, yeah too true. each car is worth a different price to a different person. personally i'd rather pay more for one with buckets, mags etc. 8)

not that they're not nice original but its just my taste, id rather it modified.

and rather than chop up another original one, id rather get one already done. cos i know i couldnt resist doin it. plus if i was to do it, itd mean less time spent on dads fb cos he'd have to help and the way thats goin, it wont be on the road till 2020 anyway.

Nah, not saying that. A well done up modified will command good money.

Just my opinion................though from what I've seen there's more of a market for originals than there are for modified ones.

An original is, well, an original. With modified cars the mods aren't to everyone's tastes, so they tend to have a smaller market.

Personally I would rather pay 15 grand for a concourse condition original, than a modified with triples, wild interior and paint, etc. But the next person might be the opposite.

Like I said, just my opinion. I could be totally wrong.

As I usually am 8)
