V8 and running gear conversions

Post by Squirralien »

I understand this question could fit most categories listed below this one but I am hoping its ok to put it here instead of splitting it in to many sections,,
I have found an FB sedan and I would like suggestions on the best engine and running gear to use,,, I was thinking of something like a 350 chev or a 5.0 from a vn commodore or vq statesman,
Any suggestions on the best or easiest diff and trans to use,
Any tips on what needs to be done to get it engineered to be registered.

If there is a thread that covers all of this and I haven't found it I would thank you for sending me the link to the thread,

I am new to the forum and interested in any information about the FB and EK for the mods that I should do considering I want a V8 in it

Especially front ends, is there anything more modern thats easy to use or is the HR front end still the one to use and how do they go with V8 conversions.

My apologies if this is to much to ask on here at this point, any web sites with info on this subject would also be appreciated.

Thanks
Steven
