Good work VH. You may already know, that you could need inner bonnet hinge springs once the Bird is fitted.

If you don't have inner bonnet hinge springs inside the standard bonnet springs the extra weight of the bonnet bird can make the bonnet fall on your head sometimes.

Unless of course you have one of those very rare genuine NASCO Bonnet Holderupperers that I had on display at Bendigo Nationals!! :wink: :wink: :wink: :lol: :lol: :lol:

If the extra weight of the bonnet bird makes the bonnet drop - use a trampoline spring - fits perfectly inside the original spring.
The only reason for time is so everything dosen't happen at once.
If Macca's home delivered there'd be one less drunk on the road.

got the ute going today
bought it not running

plugs ,points, leads ,dizzy etc
dot the fuel pump working..recond the carby.
ran for 10 mins
smoke came from dizzy and car stopped and wont start??????

any ideas???????

coil and points hot to touch

May hav wrong coil :shock: I would try another one and re do points as they are probably burned. And see how you go.
