Mick. We were two hours from home, one and a half hours from Newcastle and one hour and fifteen minutes from Terry. We decided to tilt tray it back to Wayne's. Bloody Timing gears!
Always liked this colour, Steve - great looking specimen.....
Timing gears....... the archilles heel of the grey motor....
Up for thoughts (not really!)..... has there been a modiofied additive in engine oil during the past five years..... I can't recall so many fibre timing gears going toothless when I was a kid.... we had GTX back then - but it was in its very early stages of "development".......
I do understand that there is really very little "oil" in oil..... as in the mineral refined part of what is sold as "engine oil".....
How many engines these days have fibre gears for anything? - not many, I would think......
