BODY ID INFO....

HI,
could someone please verify my body id
number for me.
i have no id plate on the firewall,
so this is all iv,e got.

i really just need to know if it is
the 501st off the sydney line,
or 10,501st off the line.

i think someone told me once that they started
the count from 10,000 ???

hi Mark, I dont think they statrted at 10000 as mine in fb 4655.

What you have listed is the "Chassis Number" and this number is relevant to the "Sub Frame" only, the numbers do not match those of the "Compliance Plate/Body ID Plate" Bodies and Sub frames could have come completely different plants. (or at least been built at different times)

On later model Holden's these numbers did match but not on the earlier series stuff.

Your subframe number is the 10501st one manufactured in Sydney (hence the "S" at the end of the number) they were also built in Melbourne "M", Brisbane "B", Adelaide "A" and Perth "P" to my knowledge.
