Please somebody, Whats the trick to remove the speedo cable thats locked into my non-synchro box?
Ive read in the manual, that if the wrong method is used
they can be almost impossible to get out.
When I rebult the drive-line, it had to leave it connected.
Can anyone help?

A gearbox I got recently had a short piece of broken cable stuck in the speedo drive, so I had a look and was able to lever it out with side cutter pliers it was really wedged in and took some shifting, its just the sqare end of the cable and it will come out ?

My cable was in good nic when I rebuilt the car, so I didn't do anything
to drastic to budge it out.
But now it stopped working, so I might coax it out a little stronger this time!!
Although there must be a trick to it,
so I might wait for a second opinion before it take to it with my arsenal
of tools.
