Chrome Wheel Trims

Post by Cal »

I'm after the chrome wheel trim/ring thing that sits on the outer edge of the wheel. Apart from Autobarn, does anyone know of anyhwere else I could get them?

I've got some Autobarn ones on my Commodore, and boy are they noisy.............plus I had to buther them to get them to fit properly

Nearly forgot.................13 inch 8)

Easiest way go to the swapmeets. I saw some at a swap meet last week for $40.

Here's a couple for you to look at - all depends on size, style etc as to what it will cost you. They are generally known as Hot Rod Beauty or Trim Rings.

I've never bought any but you could perhaps PM jack_fc - I know he's bought some recently but not sure who from. Tell him Kathi "sent ya"

Oops just suddenly thought you might be after 13" for stocky rims - if yes, then none of my links will help! And Jack won't be able to help you out either. Sorry!

Hey, but on the positive - it might help someone else!

hey mate ive had the autobahn ones a few times on a couple different cars and found if you bend the latches for a tighter fit they stop making the noise and stay on the car better :)

Yeah, think I'll get the autobarn ones. I've got some 16 inch ones on my Commodore, and I had to butcher the latches to get them to fit.

Still noisy............and have already lost one 8)
