what sort of cap do you have on the oil filler ? and is there a pcv valve on the back of the tappet cover ?

i've seen in the past with a pcv on the back of the tappet cover and then a oil filler cap without a vent it makes a sucking sound when you turn the motor off till the vaccum in the engine bleeds down ... if so you will be able to find out by getting someone to turn the engine off, as soon as they have undo the oil fillter cap and see if it releases pressure .....

if so put a cap on that has an air filter element built into it!
Regards,

Sammy.
