Just find an old HKTG Kingswood thats f*cked & rusted out etc... complete with engine to diff and swap it all over.... that way you've got everything you need! would make her go a little nicer! 8)

Hmm I gotta start saving up then. I have fallen in love with my Dad's new 350 Chev Cruiser, and feel the need for my own v8. V8 Conversion into the HG will make it one very cool cruiser :) and will be a hell of a lot easier than a conversion into the FB.

But first - I need to fit my new widies and flappers to it and get it riding a bit closer to Terra fer ma. I am thinking cut the front springs and blocks for the back (after removing the helper springs). J knows how to do the back blocks, but I am clueless as to how to remove the front springs. I imagine jack it up and compress the springs or something? (and also remove the shockies??)

NoMAD - I have been to lazy to get the prem's hubcaps from you, so if you still have them, I would love to come and grab them!

Sorry for Hijack.

I have most of the HG specific bits you will need.

PM if you want to discuss it.

Andrew
agreed with the sorry for the hijack...

dude the rear springs are from a wagon, just hunt done some sedan ones - possibly from the complete v8 donar...

i know what you saying about the 8, the HQ (yes i will get some photo's up) its got a very throaty 253 have thought about the 350 crate motor once the FB's done...

the back blocks are simple man just swap the shackles over to the longer ones and slot the block in...

the fronts would be easiest to take out the shock, undo the top ball joint, and then you should get the spring out easy enough - you would be able to figure it out man...yeah you can get those hub's whenever, still got them somewhere i've moved em but will find em agan, was thinking of rocking up on the next fb ek crusing club meeting in the ute...

cheers
