HT Stubs to HR front end?

Post by thropzed »

As the title says, I have a set of HT 350 Monaro disc's and Stubs ready to go, Question, Do I need to change the steering arms or will the HR units bolt straight up? Will I have to run HT rims or will the 13"rims fit? Any advice will be good. If this won't work for me I will have a set of Monaro brakes for sale.

Theo,

What the hoppers website says
3/ HK/T/G Stubs fit HR fronts, giving a bit bigger solid rotor but you will need 14 inch wheels, at least still in FE to HR pattern. Not much better than HR or Torana discs.

I'm running HT/HG discs on the wagon with 14's, not going yet  so I can't tell you what they are like but I thought they would be a bit better than HR, oh well :) , Trev 8) .

Thanks guys, RB, Yeprat1, Trev, Nomad, Now to find me a Rear end that will take the smaller wheel cylinders.

Trev, This is going into my Wagoon as well. Do I need V8 HT rims or will standard 6 cylinder rims do the trick?

RB, I noted in your thread about the Van that you got a 1 inch drop with the HT stubs and decided Then that was what I wanted. Did you use lowered springs as well?

Yeprat1, Are you using HR calipers or the HK/HT calipers? Mine are the V8 ones with wide rotors and 1/8 spacers in the caliper.

Theo, I'm using 5 inch front and 7 inch rear, so I don't think it matters.
The only thing I did was get the offset changed to hr disc spacing, Trev 8) .
