As usual it started as a quick strip and paint , 3 years later it's gone from a rusty wagon to wanting a 350 chev, turbo 700 and 9 inch diff (all of which I had and sold off) to a red 6, and now back to a warm grey, trimatic and LJ Torana diff.
This is the first car I have attempted to paint so it needs alot of work to get it shiny, not like alot of people on this forum get shine straight off the gun (experience is a wonderful thing ).

Looks like you've done heaps of work there. Well done so far.
Try either thinning your paint down a bit more, slowing the speed that you move the spray gun or both to get more gloss off the gun. Let it go on wet, on the verge of running but not quite. Once you get the knack of that then its heaps less work afterwards. Used to work for me. Good luck with the rest.

in my limmited experiance with shinney paint if those marks in the white are dry spray it may be easier to give it a rub and and a couple of wetter coats, cause they never seem to go away no matter how much i cut and buff
as for how to get it wetter i'll leave that to somebody more experianced than me to explain
Good stuff Trev, if you've got enough paint on there you shouldn't have any trouble blocking it back and buffing it. Can't wait to see this one back together.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
DR, plenty of paint on there, but I think I'll still try and lay a couple of wet coats on when it's rubbed back again.
I think in the end it will be a 20 to 30 foot car , Trev .

Stewart, I have been known in the past to have a whine about the paint job on the sedan, so I thought I would have a go myself, then I have no one else to blame for a crap job . Plus I can take as much time as it takes to get it rite. Trev .
