Thanks FB MAD,
Can't complain about the missus, Sue is very understanding  We are looking for a secondhand upholstery sewing machine because Sue is VERY good at sewing (made her own wedding dress & Bridesmaids dresses) so she wants to do the upholstery in both cars .......    , I believe she can do it ..... might be a few test pieces first though   .

This is Sue's EK,

Image

specs:
Reupholstered stock interior.
Stock exterior body (no tubs!)
HR front end
Chassis upgrade
A/C
Power windows
Central locking
Retractable seat belts
Motor/trans - either a V6/auto or a EFI 5lt V8/T700 (Sue wants the V8     can't say I blame her!!)
I am trying to take pics and post them at every step just in case someone else wants to use some of the ideas ..... I am more than happy to try any suggestions to make to project smoother or better as this custom building/rust repair is all new to me, previously limited to bolting on wide wheels, exhaust tips  , spoilers  , cassettes players etc ...... . 8) 8)

cheers, Garry

Shit Garry, you're doing a bloody good job there for someone who's work experience resume lists,

"bolting on wide wheels, exhaust tips , spoilers , cassete players etc"

   8) 8) 8)

Wish I was game enough to tackle the body mods you have so far
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Hey Spyder, good to hear from you ..... I don't think too many forum members would want to see some photos of a "common old fishing boat" spread all over the pages       even though the polished alloy HotRod flames do make it stand out a bit

i assume the gap between the rear chassis rails and the piece just in front of the rear wheel arch is the distance that the rails have been moved in by ?
Regards,

Sammy.

Hi Sammy, yes that is the distance (110mm each side).
I have just been playing around with the dash ..... somewhere for the extra guages   wanted to do something a bit different.... I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. :D :D :D

The plate for the new guages will be polished alloy, should look ok when it's finished.
