Lil Hulk (intro)

Hi guys let me start off by saying this is a great site with heaps of help and info, I have been a longtime lurker with the occasional post so i thought it was about time I got my bum into gear and posted some info on my project and how its coming along.

My car started its life as a 1961 hydramatic EK holden ..not sure of the colour... Basically i bought the car off an older guy who had just lost the passion to finish the project. So about 2 years ago I arrived home with a big grin on my face and the ek , then the work started... out with the tired old 202 and in with a newly rebuilt one which i had lying round from the previous HR holden project.

The driveline was completely replace the hydramatic was replaced with a trimatic t bar floorshift, up front there is HR cross member and brakes down the back end the power is delivered through a HT diff. The battery was also relocated to the boot.

Now we travel inside the interior has been completely redone with the front bench seat disappearing in favour of a set of hr bucket seats , in the pass few months I have fixed the electrical , changed the headlights to halogens , finally installed the beehive heater and recently had seatbelts fitted all round.

Next on the agenda is to get the car resprayed/rechroming , but got a call the other day and the original painter has fallen through ..so now in search of other painter who will spray her for a reasonable price.

Hey Rob,

With 48 posts I'd hardly rate you as a lurker! In fact you're the 23rd top poster on the site.

Thanks for posting the pics up. You've done a bit of work on her. If you post up the numbers from the ID plate maybe we can work out the colour?

Regards
Stewart
