Ute/Van Bucket Seats

I am trimming some seats for a friend with a PV, the problem is that they are nasty, shapeless and busted EA Falc seats.
She has a pair of later model (not sure which) commondore buckets but she says they don't fit well.

1. Should the commondore ones fit? and has anyone used them.

2. Is there a better "cost-effective" solution?

i've heard that commodore seats in FB/EK/EJ/EH sit too high, im not sure about other models ....

my mate fited VK Commodore seats to his EH and had the problem (didn't worry him as he is shorter than me)

im looking at fitting VR Commodore seats to my FB Ute and from just sitting them on blocks and sitting in it i don't think it will be too high but i wont be sure till i start making mounts for them.
