Replace HR outrigger on an HR front end with an EK outrigger

Post by EKool »

Hey Guys,

Does anyone want a paid job to help me replace the HR outrigger on an HR front end, with an EK outrigger. The front end is already installed on an EK and a red motor is also fitted (by the previous owner). I would attempt dropping the front end myself but I do not have a hoist to hold the motor up and my mig skills are not good enough. The EK outrigger is painted and ready to go. I'm in St Albans, Melbourne, Victoria

Cheers

So just out of curiousity what have they done to mount the outrigger? I would have thought you need the correct outrigger fitted to mount the frontend properly???
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

The HR outrigger just does not meet the front chassis rail that it is supposed to be bolted to. Check out the handywork at: http://users.tpg.com.au/mica11ef/EKrela ... y-brothers

Just when you thought youve seen everything something clever comes up like this.

I am still blown away that people would do such rough jobs. Imagine that slipping off, the front end would be putting huge strain on the subframe bolts every time you braked. Very exciting if you needed to stop in a hurry especially at 100km/h.
