Tim's right. I bought a set and decided not to put 'em on as they just didn't sit right. The curve at the bottom/rear was the main point I wasn't satisfied with. They're still sitting in the garage and I don't think I'll ever fit them.
If I ever decide to try spats again I think I'll go with the custom design that Paul Kelly makes. Different style to the originals but I think they look a heap cooler.
For now though I'm digging the car without them and probably more so when I drop her further.
Cheers, Scott

Spats

Post by retrorods »

Hi,
Autocables are now stocking Retro Rods wheel spats from Maryborough Queensland. Check retro rods website www.retrorodsandrestorations.com.au.

These wheel spats are guaranteed to fit a standard wheel arch, tyres and offset and pride themselves in a good fit.

Spats can be plain or louvered and in custom as well as original styles.

Hope this helps.
Wheel Spats, Rust Repair, louvers and custom sheetmetal.

Did any of the original ones have the louvres? I've been looking too, and all the old photos I can find from the 60's show plain spats?
