Standard sedan rear screen rubber

Post by Trev »

Bill (Vic Pres) has asked Rare Spares about reproducing the above mentioned product, and was told they would need expressions of interest before committing.

So if interested please let us know and we'll see what comes of it, Trev 8) .

Yep, no groove in the standard rubber.

Specials had the groove so I guess that makes them "Groovy"

I tried to get these made a couple of years ago without much interest and thought this was because of the rarity of standards. I wasn't aware of 100 orders. If we did get 100 orders, these definately would have gone ahead. If people are interested in ordering these rubbers, i need pm's sent to me so that i can get a firm number.
I should also add that before these are looked at, we need to get a good section of rubber so that Rares can get an accurate cross section to make a die.
I am doing my best to get Rares to reproduce various parts and to date the Vic club has been pretty successful. Seeing that the Vic club will be putting up certian funds for these rubbers, we will need a definate deposit before we order any. We need an initial order of 50 before we can approach Rares.

So far i have pm's with commitments for 14 standard rear screen rubbers, as i asked before i need pm's for orders so i can get this product up and running. Thanks for the orders so far.
If we don't get orders for at least 50, this part will definately not be produced.

Have to say i'm a bit dissapointed at the lack of response for the standard sedan rear screen rubbers. I suppose this is due to the rarity of these models. Just a reminder that if we don't get enough interest in this item, we can't put an order into Rares and therefore they won't go ahead with producing these. So please pm me if you are genuinely interested in obtaining one or hopefully more. Some people with only one standard have ordered two so that they have a spare as manufacture of these will be a one off.
