The Reeds Arrive Home.

Post by oldnek »

G'day to All.

Well what a great place and Weekend to have the Nationals, We stayed on for the week and arrived back in Sydney on Saturday.
The weather was pretty much the same as the Sunday, and had a couple of good days, from Wednesday arvo on. We took another trip around Mcclean and Lawrence and caught the ferry across the river twice, Kids enjoyed those rides.
The car went fantastic except for a broken shock mount on the way home on the expressway near Gosford interchange. And then to top it off, I had the alternator fail, just coming into Sydney CBD. The traffic was bumper to bumper and my lights where fading by the time I hit the Princes Hwy Sutherland.
We stayed at my brother in laws At Oyster Bay and fitted a new alternator the next morning.
I drove home with my shock adrift and fixed it at the workshop this afternoon. So alls good ready for the next big one.

Regards John

Hi John,

Glad you got home OK...just. :) Did you get across to Iluka on the ferry?

We had a good trip home and stayed overnight at Forster. I did notice a dramatic drop in power in my FB from Forster. First and second there was nothing. On the hills it died. Once it got to 65 mph I was OK but it was a stuggle to get there. So off to the mechanics...

My son Thomas wants to say hi to Darcy. 8) They had a great time together.

regards
Stewart

Hi again John,
pretty much repeating the message on another thread - relieved to hear you made it back.................

Altenators, regulators - seems the word Yamba must translate to problem with one.................

Sam, Mark, richard, Smooth and yourself all had trouble with either of them...........
us - we hit a roo - but no damage, Kelly - damaged rear l/hs door and a flat tyre on getting home...............

Happy to hear you made good of your extra time in Yamba (green with envy - bet I could have finally landed a fish with another week - they were safe for the time I was there, though)...............

Say hi to Mrs R and the R'ettes........

frats,
Rosco
