It is possible to fit discs to a kingpin front end - Torana I think - but it is a LOT of buggerising around.
PM Burnsy , he did the swap a couple of years ago and posted a thread about it either here or on the FE/C website.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I've got adapter brackets to mount torana discs /calipers to kingpin front end that I bought 2nd hand a few years back.Haven't had a go at seeing about fitting them ( sorry, not for sale  ) but may be able( given enough time ) to get an engineering shop to copy them for you if you want ( at cost... I'm not into profiteering).

Can't give you any more info on them other than I was told they were torana brakes to kingpin conversion brackets.

There is,or was, a bloke called Adrian Selenmeyer ( or something like that ) advertising brake conversions in Restored cars mag/Custom vans and trucks mag/Early Street machine mags that may be able to help.

Again, given enough time,I might be able to find his contact number if he still does them.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

thanks if you could find out which model torana and a phone number for him that would be great. would changing that mean my stud pattern and/or offset would change? you guys and girls are great. i'd be totally lost and probably give up on the idea of an ek if it weren't for the people on this forum.

Haven't done the Torana disc to kingpin front conversion so can't say much about it.

Stud pattern in torana's are the same as early holden so that's the same.I'd take a guess that the wheel track would change.

In the meantime while I try and find that phone number in my old mags, have a look on this site and give them a call as would be able to give you better answers than I can.

hey mark,
what stub axles are you running?
did you have to get the discs made to suit the axles?
what size discs are they - is that a standard VT setup - 297mm & two piston caliper?

minifbvan, hi, the pics of that front end look great. when you get one is it ready to be installed or do you still have to weld on the ek front brace thingy? my welding skills look more like bird crap rather than something i'd hold structural parts of my car together with. thanks again you guys are great. :D

Castlemaine Rod Shop produce a conversion kit to allow fitting LX torana disc brakes to early holden king pin front ends . Costs about $250.00 You need to come up with the torana callipers , discs and depending on the final set up ,EH steering arms.
