Rosco home safely

Post by rosco »

Arrived home 16:00 today - will post all trip data when finalised.

Great nats, great people and great trip.
Only three sad items - hit 'roo just after leaving Yamba for home - no visible damage : yet...............?

Daughter dented rear l/hs of her car...................

Daughter arrived home with almost flat rear l/hs tyre = nail.

Will put up all the GPS trip data/times/etc in a couple of day - those not interested - don't open the post, it will be fairly detailed.................

Thanks once again to Qld for running another great event and.............
to all those who made our Yamba experience so very enjoyable.............

see you in Bendigo in '09.............

frats,
Rosco

How'd you go Rob, any overheating probs on the return run ??

I reckon a new core in yours will fix your probs.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Hi all,
gave the old bus a good clean up this afternoon - no visible sign of damage - will go underneath tomorrow - dumb stupid critters, one bound - two bounds and bang........... from out of nowhere.
Hit the front left corner somewhere - tried to brake and swerve but from 80 km/h it was a bit "all over and done" within a second or a second and a half.

Kelly got it again as it got up then crossed the road, turned around and jumped back into the scrub...................

those roo shoo'ers - not very convinced - good thing I had them, could have been a whole heard instead, this one must have been deaf, or just didn't know the rules with them........................ 'roos have been on the planet longer than EK's (or Suzuki Swifts).

Leslie and Roger messaged - "must have been all that polish - it slid off!"

Had quite a few birds kamikaze on the way back - missed all of them, but not by much - was a very strange day - pity the fish weren't as accommodating when I tried to capture some at Yamba..................

Saw a Magna near Dubbo - front smashed back over engine - 'roo
Saw an AU backwards into the montain-side bank after coming off the wrong side of the road barrier in the Waterfall mountains - no-one inside, but airbag laying on seat - glad I didn't need to pull out the first aid kit...........looked as if it had just happened - no-one around and all doors closed and locked.......... lots of damage and bits all over the road.

Guess we all need to keep focussed on what might be coming the other way when climbing up steep bendy mountains in the wet.........

Kelly's car no damage - but puncture on arriving home............ now fixed.

Didn't want to get up for work today - looking forward to a day of casting a still shadow - not until the end of this month.................

Great nats, looking forward to being your host at Bendigo '09...........who's coming?....................

frats,
Rosco

ps will post up a "few" lines for those who didn't make it - Bendigo '09 - OK?

off to bed - again
