Is it possible to disassemble and reassemble a leaf spring yourself?
The reason is so that I can paint each individual spring, rather than just paint over the outside.
I'm thinking enamel would be the best type of paint to do this as it has a bit more 'flex' than an acrylic paint.
Has anyone tackled this before?

i've never had a drama, once you have the spring seperated from everything just undo the centre pin pull the straps apart and they'll be all apart

Any idea where I would get the 'plastic bits' for between the leaves?

Any springworks should be able to supply them.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

a few yrs ago dad got them from holden, but i doubt they'd have them anymore as they don't seem to be able to get even 1994 model commodore stuff .... gone are the days!
