The year was 1992. I have a great story to share. That wagon with the curtains I purchased at the nationals (did not have my car there) on the Saturday morning for the price of $300 bucks(curtains were free) My mate Troy and I went down the hardware in Tamworth and purchased 2 cans of dark grey enamel. We then went back to our motel and asked the motel manager if we could do some touch ups. The flashes down both sides were almost worn through and it had odd coloured rims. The manager was so excited about it he even gave us newspaper to mask up and stood around as we jazzed it up. The QLD number plate I had brought down with me off my mates Pyramid coral FB sedan(he never ran his front plate he used to run a confederate flag plate) and being 19 years old was not worried about stuff like that. I got 'The nationals Trophy' for it being such wierd circumstances. In the crowd shot I am standing on the right all in black with my head facing down next to Linda Gall(with a pink jumper on) I was probaly thinking when are we gonna have our next bourbon Tim? Steve jackson your photos are still blowing my mind 8) 8)

   Left out a good part of my story.......................
Went to drive home in my $300 FB wagon on a 700km journey got as far as Armidale (about 100km) blew a timing gear. Had to make friends with a old lady where the car had stopped and ask if I could push it into her yard until a car carrier could pick it up. Those were the days 8) 8)

Awesome, Steve.........

Fantastic to see the early Nats with such good form. Those Nats at Tamworth, look to be the best venue.

I remember that car Mick! What a bargain. What happened to the Wagon?

I purchased Tim Cameo/Flash 215 at the Tamworth & then went up to Bris & purchased the 215 Green "Lee Thomas" car (Now Space Ace's), then I purchased the Carl Snelling three tone FB sedan, that won the best original Sedan Tamworth. Thanks Mick, I will try to find some more pics.

Shame I wasn't here when you came past Tim.

My Wagon will be at Yamba MattyM.

Hey John, thank you! Tim had put up some great pics prior as well. I do have more, just got to find them. I need one of Mick pushing his wagon into the drive in Armidale :D

You are still a young Pup Tim :) :) :) well compared to Me
