I preume there isn't meant to be anything there between them, but thought maybe I could put in a 4mm spacer to solve my clutch clearance problems. what do you think????
Its a 138 grey with a 3 speed manual.

Hammondo, there is supposed to be something between the gearbox and engine block - a specially formed spacer plate.
If you don't have one then I guess it may be the source of your clutch clearance problems...

The clearance prob is the pressure plate rubbing on the inside like sloth has said, was just looking for an alternative to grinding it down.
