Post by nate_138 »

So i have fitted some extractors to the grey in my ej and having all sorts off clearence problems with the linkages hitting the extrators.

Anyone make some sort of linkage that worked for them or have any ideas?

Hi Nate,
funny you posted this, i put some on my ute this afternoon and came across the same problem.

So far I have just rebent the linkage so that the arm which bolts onto the toggle rod which extends from the accelerator pedal is shorter in width thereby clearing the extractor pipes.

Probably not the most proffesional way to do it but it seems to work ok.
cheers,

Hi Nate and Sigs,
I fitted ex's to mine when it had both greys in it and didn't have any issues..........looking at the rear pipe - I think mine may have been closer in towards the block........... too long ago - sorry......

Someone will undoubtedly come onto this and suggest a cable throttle.....

hey nate im sort of seeing this problem to i am assumeing your a hyrdo as well ,,, may have to cut and exstend rod also kick down anchors to exaust manifold which i had to split from intake manifold and left me with out the kick down anchor ,,but a bracket is easy to make ,, and im puting a twin carb manifold on which does luckely have drillings for that anchor,,,,another idea may be a cable set up,,, also i may have a original manifold for you will have a look,,, and let you know
when they start building them like that again i will buy a new car of them
