hey guys,
i have just found a chrome electric aerial, i was just wondering if the motor is ok under the front guard, (where the standard one once was)...
the aerial that i got is from a toyota cressida, in the toyota it was in the boot, so i just need to know is it going to be ok under the front guards. with all the shit that comes off the tryes, mud, rocks, water, etc...
does it need to be protected from these elements some how....
thanks

electric aerial
go the wagons....
Hi again Matty,
there have been many of this type fitted to our vehicles - the ones I have probably seen more of lately are commodore - recessed into the guard.
As for under body exposure - modern vehicles seem to have an inner guard which creates a protected cavity - this is where electric aerials are usually located.
I suppose if you want to go this way, you could provide some form of box shield - at the end of the day - there will always be available electric aerials from the wreckers............... more than FB or EK's to choose parts from.....
frats,
Rosco
